emergency supplies

Our center will now be selling emergency supplies and disaster prevention goods. Being prepared on a daily basis may save you, your family, and those around you. We have just started, so the number of products is limited, but we will gradually increase the variety as soon as we are ready. We hope that by introducing our product lineup that utilizes the experience and knowledge we have gained from the damage caused by the heavy rains in Western Japan, we can help protect your lives.

Emergency supplies refer to the stockpiling of supplies necessary for maintaining daily life in advance in preparation for disasters and emergencies. These include food, water, clothing, medicines, disaster prevention supplies, valuables, etc. Emergency supplies allow you to secure the supplies necessary for daily life by preparing for the occurrence of a disaster. It is also important to regularly update the stockpiles and store them in a safe place.

our mission

Our city, Uwajima City, suffered severe damage from the July 2018 heavy rain disaster and lost 13 precious lives. As the Ushioni Conference, which was set up to overcome this disaster, held discussions to share information and solve problems, it became clear that an "intermediate support organization" was needed to play a coordinating role by connecting people, groups, and information. We came to the conclusion that local groups and a variety of citizen activities should be utilized for future town development, and decided to launch the ``Uwajima NPO Center,'' a specified non-profit organization.

We will continue to work with citizens, civic groups, and NPOs (non-profit organizations), as well as with governments, social associations, companies, etc., as an intermediary support organization that plays the role of "connecting" citizens across sectors. We will do our best to make Uwajima City better able to respond to disasters.
