7- Overview |
He explained why oral care is important during disasters, and demonstrated how to brush your teeth using one plastic bottle cap while sharing his own experiences. Students who wanted to try out the toothbrushing sheets were asked to come forward and learn how to brush their teeth with them. He also handed out a collection of Yu-pocha recipes made by students at Uwajima Higashi High School Tsushima Branch, explaining how cooking can be done during disasters, and that cooking can be done with dirty water or plastic bags. Several students had participated in disaster prevention camps, so some of them remembered how to make Yu-pocha dishes. Finally, the students played a flip chart to help them remember the 12 items needed in an evacuation bag, and a spot-the-difference game to prevent furniture from falling over.More than half of the students correctly pointed out the mistakes, which demonstrated that this is a school where disaster prevention education is carried out thoroughly on a regular basis. |
