7- Overview |
As it was a participation day, parents also participated. Second and third grade students at Yoshida Elementary School and their parents memorized the 12 items in an emergency evacuation bag. The children were told to memorize the items in advance and answer them later, so they listened attentively. Each student answered about five items, and they worked hard. In addition, we first explained the precautions to take when using toilets in the event of a disaster, and then had them try it out. We divided the children into three groups and had them learn the differences between newspapers, coagulants, and pet sheets. In the final section, we had them talk about how they had fun using toilets. We also had some parents say that they learned something they didn't know before. |
