7-Overview

The first Ushioni Conference workshop was held, with approximately 60 participants. There were several people who attended on the day, and many were interested.

First, Mr. Yamaguchi from our center talked about the situation at the time regarding the ``July 2018 heavy rain disaster,'' and then we heard a lecture from the Uwajima City Insurance and Health Division about mental support for the ``July 2018 heavy rain disaster.'' They learned about things to consider when providing mental support, how to deal with anger, and how to deal with deep sadness.

We heard a lecture from Kumiko Matsushita, a supporter of victims of the July 2018 heavy rain disaster, about mental care for supporters, and each group held a workshop and discussed their own activities at the time and what they suffered from the disaster. Ta.

I heard that if there had been a workshop like this back then, I would have been able to do more work while thinking about the disaster victims, and that I would not have gotten sick myself.

Many supporters who were victims of the disaster were also in attendance, and some of them were shaking in their voices as they remembered those days.

I felt it was necessary to continue holding mental care workshops for supporters.

*Next workshop scheduled for November
