7-Overview

The evacuation drill started a little after 7 a.m., with each district evacuating to the first evacuation site after the sirens sounded. Then, we headed to Okunan Elementary School, the second evacuation site. The children and their parents evacuated to Okunan Elementary School along with the local community.

Afterwards, our center played the HUG game (evacuation center management game) for each district. Since the children were in the same group as the local people, they were thinking about it while consulting with people they knew. Although it seemed a little difficult for elementary school students, it was great to see them working hard and trying to solve the problem.

After the evacuation center management game, we played the cardboard bed.

They experienced assembly, received first aid training from fire department personnel, and practiced cardiopulmonary resuscitation as a team.

Afterwards, children and adults alike had fun trying out ladder trucks, ambulances, and firefighting protective clothing.
