7-Overview

We asked people who experienced the July 2018 heavy rain disaster to talk about their experiences, including footage from that time. While some people were moved to tears remembering that day, the participants listened intently to the story while taking notes.

At the time of a disaster, problems arise in various aspects such as clothing, food, and shelter. In addition to listening to and learning from people who have experienced disasters, we talked and learned from each other about our respective roles that can be utilized both in times of disaster and in our daily lives.

The students were then divided into groups related to clothing, food, and shelter, and each group held a workshop to discuss issues and how to solve them.

Therefore, as the impressions of the participants,

・It has been several years since the disaster, and I was able to look back and think objectively.

・It was great to hear about the strengths of each group based on their experience presentations.

・I could really relate to the idea of stockpiling clothing.

・I felt that it would be good if, as a company to which I belong, we could form an agreement with the local government in the event of a disaster and be able to view it from a lifestyle perspective.

We received many comments such as:

There are still many issues to be addressed in the future, but I would like to consider each one one by one in a way that will lead to solutions.
