7-Overview

We created a place for children to interact by playing disaster prevention karuta, Uwajima karuta, and catfish school games in the hall of the community center.

We handed out three QR code flyers for the Uwajima NPO Center and set up a table for parents who were waiting for their children to play, so we provided a place where they could interact for the first time in a while.

During the interview, we heard about the damage caused by the heavy rains in western Japan in 2018. There is a case that should be taken up immediately, and the center staff is currently dealing with it.

Local junior high school students helped run the event. It would have been difficult to cope without your help. It looks like if I call again in the future, I will be able to help.

Overall, they were cooperative, and there were similarities with the Oura area. By entrusting local junior high school students with the management assistance, local elementary school students were able to participate in the game in a relaxed manner.

Participants said they had a lot of fun and said they would like to come again. There are no events or viewing days, so gatherings like this allow us to build a community and feel at ease.

There was a voice saying. In the future, we hope that the coronavirus infection will subside and that we will be able to hold events and create an environment where we can communicate, but we would like to continue our activities with an eye toward community formation during the coronavirus pandemic.
