7-Overview

The connections between junior high and high school students living in Mima Town and young to mid-career workers and farmers are weak, and there is little interaction between residents across age groups. The aim is to create face-to-face relationships by having men and women of all ages interact through board games. Also, listen to participants' needs and problems during the conversation and guide them to solutions.

We distributed flyers at the Mima Branch, Mima High School/Junior Junior High School, Mima Post Office, and other locations, and had several junior high school students and adults participate, keeping a distance of at least 1 meter to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, and playing a card game called Coyote . This time, the Horibata Game Club selected games that focused on teamwork, such as a game called ``Hah'' that tested acting skills , and we had fun playing games while ventilating the atmosphere for about 3 hours. The participants showed their desire to participate again next time, and as time went on, their tension eased, and I think it was a relaxing time for an environment that was already tired due to the coronavirus pandemic. We also heard stories about the difficult times they faced due to water outages during the Western Japan heavy rain disaster, as well as stories about their club activities. Next time, I would like to dig a little deeper into understanding the needs and skills of the participants.

We received comments from people who saw the Facebook post saying they would like to participate next time. It will also be a brain training, so please join us next time.
