2020.08.11 Sparkler & Candle Night

This year, the Tanabata Festival and Summer Festival, which are held every year in Yoshida Town, were all canceled due to the coronavirus. Additionally, the sparklers and candle night on July 7th was canceled due to heavy rain warnings. Since the children had nothing to look forward to, we decided to at least hold a small night market to give them a little taste of a summer festival.

At this event, participants lit sparklers and candlelight to remember those who lost their lives in the July 2018 heavy rain disaster. We also held a fundraising campaign to support the victims of the July 2020 heavy rain disaster.

135 people including volunteers gathered at the venue.
