About the Center
Our activities began after the heavy rains in Western Japan
In July 2018, the Western Japan heavy rains hit Uwajima. This unprecedented disaster prompted local volunteers to come together and form the Ushi-oni Conference. What started out as support for the victims soon expanded into an intermediary support organization for the local community.
Connecting with the local community, the power of intermediary support
The Ushi-oni Conference has played the role of a hub connecting local NPOs, government, businesses, and citizens. Its activities have expanded to include disaster prevention education, welfare, children's cafeterias, and disaster relief efforts across the country.
