宇和島NPOセンター【活動報告】災害現場で“使える”重機講習を実施
― 宇和島作業系 災害支援チーム育成プロジェクト ―
はじめに
宇和島NPOセンターでは、災害時に地域内で即応できる人材の育成を目的とした重機講習を実施しました。 本講習は単なる資格取得のための講座ではなく、災害現場で実際に役立つ操作技術と安全思想を身につける実践型講習です。

Uwajima NPO Center organized a practical heavy machinery training program aimed at preparing local residents for disaster response. The training focuses not only on certification but on learning real operational skills and safety awareness required in emergency situations.
なぜ「現場仕様」なのか
本講習は資格取得よりも、災害現場で実際に動ける力を身につけることを重視しています。 狭い場所、不整地、倒壊物がある状況など、現場に近い環境を想定した訓練を行いました。

Unlike typical training focused on certification tests, this program emphasizes real disaster response skills. Participants practiced operating machinery in narrow spaces and unstable environments similar to actual disaster sites.
最優先は安全思想
「自分の操作で人を傷つける可能性がある」
重機は便利な道具ですが、判断ミスが重大事故につながります。 そのため講習では、安全確認や操作停止の判断など、基本動作の徹底が強調されました。

Safety is the most important principle when operating heavy machinery. Operators must always remember that a single mistake can cause serious injury. Participants were trained to maintain awareness of their surroundings and stop operating immediately if they feel uncertain.
基礎操作と重心管理
ブーム、アーム、バケットの基本操作に加えて、特に重心管理が重要なポイントとして説明されました。 アームを伸ばした状態で旋回すると転倒リスクが高まるため、旋回前に重心を近づける操作が必要になります。

Basic machine operations such as boom, arm, and bucket movement were practiced. Special attention was given to center-of-gravity control. Rotating the machine while the arm is fully extended increases the risk of tipping.
狭所での方向転換
背後に壁がある状況などを想定し、キャタピラの差動操作を使った方向転換を練習しました。 災害現場では、狭い場所で安全に作業する能力が重要になります。

Participants practiced turning the machine in tight spaces using differential track movement. This skill is essential when operating near obstacles or collapsed structures.
解体アタッチメント（掴み）の操作
解体作業用の掴みアタッチメント（グラップル）の操作も実施しました。 掴む角度やアームの姿勢によって作業効率が大きく変わるため、実践的な操作方法を学びました。

The training also included the use of demolition grapples. Although the opening and closing motion is simple, the angle and position of the arm are critical for successfully gripping objects.
乗り降りの基本
安全のため、重機から降りる際は前から飛び降りるのではなく、 機体に向いた状態でお尻から降りる方法が推奨されました。

Safe mounting and dismounting procedures were also emphasized. Operators should face the machine and carefully step down rather than jumping from the front, reducing the risk of accidental lever activation.

宇和島NPOセンターでは、重機操作などを担う 「宇和島作業系 災害支援チーム」の形成を目指しています。 地域の中に実践的な技術を持つ人材を増やし、 災害発生時の初動支援体制を強化していく構想です。
