活動概要
2025年10月13日早朝、宇和島市戸島にて「第16回 日本財団：瀬戸内オーシャンズX」の清掃活動が行われました。この取り組みは、離島や到着困難地域における環境保全活動の一環として行われ、今回の現場では、海岸に漂着したごみの回収を中心に実施され、宇和島NPOセンターはこの清掃活動の現地サポートを行いました。
到着困難地域での作業は、日常生活では味わえない「筋トレになるよ～」という声も聞かれるほど、体力を必要とする現場です。参加者同士の連携や、自然環境への思いやりが求められる貴重な時間となりました。
今後も、こうした地域での継続的な活動が、瀬戸内の美しい海岸線を守る力になると信じています。

Activity Summary
On October 13th, 2025, Uwajima NPO Center carried out a coastal cleanup event on To-jima, a remote island within Uwajima City, as part of the “the 16th Setouchi Oceans X” initiative by The Nippon Foundation. Uwajima NPO Center supported their cleaning activity at the venue.
This project aims to address environmental issues in hard-to-access areas. Participants collected marine debris that had washed ashore—a physically demanding task that one described as “a real workout!” Beyond the sweat and effort, the experience highlighted the importance of cooperation, local engagement, and environmental stewardship.
Efforts like these are vital to preserving the natural beauty of the Seto Inland Sea for future generations.
