August 3, 2025: Bura-Bo Walk in Yoshida Town

On August 3, 2025, the "Bora-bou Sanpo" (Disaster Prevention Walk) was held in Yoshida Town. This disaster preparedness learning event involved walking through the town with local storytellers, exploring streets that have remained unchanged since the Edo period and areas affected by the heavy rain disaster in July 2018.

A total of five participants from Tokushima Prefecture, including students from Tokushima Johoku High School and Tokushima Kita High School, and staff from the Disaster Prevention Human Resources Center, took part.
Despite the intense heat, they stayed hydrated and visited the Yoshida Town Library, historic buildings, and disaster-affected areas, learning about the region's history and memories of past disasters.

This activity not only raised participants' disaster awareness but also provided an excellent opportunity to discover the charm of the region. Walking while listening to the vivid testimonies of local storytellers created an experience that connected the past and future of the region.
