🧹 Activity Details and Impressions
The 4th "clean the coast" beach cleanup activity was held in Toshima. Under a clear sky, four participants mainly collected combustible waste, recovering 36 bags (equivalent to 3 ton bags). The strong sunlight and lack of shade on the beach made the work physically demanding, but the blessings from the sun generated plenty of vitamin D, leaving us with a refreshing sense of accomplishment.
It was an opportunity to realize both the natural beauty of the beach and the large amount of litter left by humans. Next time, we will consider devising ways to create a more comfortable working environment, such as using shade nets.
🌎 Report in English
On June 21st, 2025, we held our 4th coastal cleanup activity on Toshima Island, Uwajima. Under the strong summer sun, four volunteers worked together to collect waste, successfully gathering three large bags (equal to 36 regular 45L bags) of combustible trash. While the lack of shade made things challenging, we were blessed with good weather and the calming sea breeze. This activity reminded us both of the natural beauty of the shore and the importance of preventing littering. We plan to introduce shade nets and other measures to improve comfort in future cleanups.
