-Through this experience, participants will develop an interest in disaster prevention and mitigation, create a system that will enable them to act calmly in the event of a future Nankai Trough earthquake or the disasters that have occurred in recent years, and develop a sense of crisis and the ability to be prepared.

・We will hold a disaster prevention lecture at the salon "Okusalon" held in Okushiroitani, Yoshida Town. Okushiroitani is a disaster-stricken area, and we will create an opportunity for local people to overcome the memory of the fear of disasters, help each other in preparation for the next disaster, and think about protecting themselves. We will hold a workshop on making paracord and teach how to use it. It can be used in disasters and in peacetime, so people should get used to it on a daily basis.

They were delighted by the beautiful colors of the paracord (parachute cord). When I unraveled the braided paracord in an instant and showed it to them, they were enthusiastic and said, "I want to try it too!" Even those with numbness in their hands tried their best to braid and unravel it over and over again. I also prepared a carabiner, so they were happy to keep it on their bag "all the time" just in case. It's also good for preventing dementia! They had a lively conversation about how they had braided in this way in the past.
