The aim is to give participants a taste for disaster prevention and mitigation through experiences of assembling cardboard beds, air beds, and simple toilets, to create a system that will enable them to act calmly in the event of a future Nankai Trough earthquake or similar disasters that have occurred in recent years, and to develop a sense of crisis and the ability to be prepared. |

This time, we asked the Mima Regional Women's Fire Brigade to help visitors to the Mima Town Cosmos Festival by giving them the opportunity to try out the technique so that they would be able to respond in the event of a disaster. They made slippers out of colored paper, tried out portable toilets, cardboard beds, and air beds. Small children lay down on each bed and enjoyed the feel. The members created balloon mascots of Mican and Dark Mican, which were well received by many people. |
