3-Purpose |
・If a Nankai Trough earthquake were to occur, the damage would be widespread from the Kanto region to Kyushu, and there are concerns that Shikoku could become an isolated land island without adequate support. We have to do something on our own as we may not be able to expect external support. The event was planned and held in collaboration with organizations engaged in disaster relief activities. We will create an opportunity for families to talk about disaster prevention and volunteer work, whether they are interested in disaster prevention or not, and to help children, who will lead the future, live with peace of mind. |

7-Overview |
A sand control and volunteer festival was held at Sunport Takamatsu in Kagawa Prefecture on November 18, 2023, with approximately 30 participating and exhibiting organizations. On the day of the event, the weather was bad and the content had to be changed at short notice, but the catfish school at our center's booth was very popular and became popular from the get-go. It was popular with everyone from children to adults and people from other groups, with some even waiting to participate. The children were also excited about the fact that there is more than just one answer to a picture-story show. Disaster prevention goods were presented to the participants and they were very pleased. At the lecture, Mayor Uwajima took to the podium and gave a speech entitled ``From the experience of heavy rains in western Japan.'' There were many things that I didn't know, and I was very moved by the response of the government at the time. The next day, on the 19th, there was a heavy machinery training session led by members of the disaster relief team B-DASH, who taught us carefully and kindly, making it an enjoyable day of learning and a valuable experience. |
