7-Overview |
A community cafeteria was held at Iwamatsu Community Center, Tsushima Town, Uwajima City, sponsored by Uwajima City NPO Tekutekusan. The tuna dissection show by fish girls from Uwajima Fisheries High School was a lively event, and 250 tuna bowls were sold in no time. We held a disaster prevention bottle workshop, which also sold out quickly! Everyone was so curious that there was a long line, and everyone was deciding what to put in the bottles with their families, friends, and even with friends during hula practice. Many of them said they would make their own bottles as soon as they took them home, and I was happy that they were able to have the time to think about disaster prevention in such a simple and fun way. It was a cold, snowy day, but more people than expected came, and I realized that everyone was looking forward to an opportunity like this. |
