We invited Kazuhiko Amano from Fukushima Prefecture and held a singing cafe. The participants were mainly elderly people from Yoshida Town, elderly people living alone, and disaster victims. During the approximately two-and-a-half-hour concert, the participants enjoyed eating sweets and drinking coffee while thinking about their own thoughts. We created a collection of songs, hummed them, requested them, and played some nostalgic songs.I think everyone had a great time, which lasted about an hour, filled with laughter and tears. It was helpful to have someone help us order drinks at the cafe corner and carry them out. Visually impaired people joined in by playing tangerine flowers using tangerine tree castanets. Some people were smiling more than usual and walking lighter than usual, some even coming to the front to sing. Many people have told us that they would like us to do this again, so we are planning to hold it again. |
