センター移設にあたって
うわじまNPOセンターは、2018年の西日本豪雨災害の後、 吉田町を拠点に活動を続けてまいりました。
被災された方々や地域の皆さまのお役に立ちたいという思いで歩みを重ねてこられたのは、 吉田町の皆さまをはじめ、多くの方々の温かいご理解とご協力があったからです。 長い間、本当にありがとうございました。
このたびうわじまNPOセンターは、これまでの活動を大切に受け継ぎながら、 さらに宇和島市全体の皆さまに寄り添えるセンターを目指して、 拠点を宇和島市中心部へ移すこととなりました。

新しいセンターでは、これまで取り組んできた災害支援を引き続き大切にしながら、 今後は三つの部門を柱に活動を進めてまいります。
私たちはこれからも、地域の声に耳を傾けながら、 市民の皆さまと一緒に考え、一緒に歩むセンターでありたいと願っています。
困ったときに相談できる場所として、 また、新しいつながりや活動が生まれる場所として、 より身近に感じていただけるセンターを目指してまいります。
新しい拠点での再出発となりますが、 これまでいただいたご縁とご支援を大切にしながら、 これからの宇和島に少しでも貢献できるよう努めてまいります。

English Translation
Since the 2018 Western Japan Heavy Rain Disaster, the Uwajima NPO Center has continued its activities from its base in Yoshida Town.
We have been able to continue our work with the hope of supporting those affected by the disaster and serving the local community thanks to the warm understanding and cooperation of many people, especially the residents of Yoshida Town. We offer our sincere gratitude for your long-standing support.
The Uwajima NPO Center will now relocate its base to central Uwajima City. While carrying forward the spirit and experience of our past activities, we aim to become a center that can stand even closer to people across the entire city.

At the new center, we will continue to value our disaster support activities while developing our work through three main divisions: the Disaster Support Division, the Regional Disaster Resilience & Collaboration Division, and the Uwajima Media Lab, a new initiative that encourages younger generations to learn about their community, conduct interviews, and communicate in their own words.
We hope to remain a center that listens carefully to local voices, thinks together with citizens, and walks alongside the community. We will strive to be a place where people can seek advice when needed, and where new connections and activities can emerge.
As we begin again from our new location, we will cherish the relationships and support we have received and continue working to contribute to the future of Uwajima. We sincerely ask for your continued understanding and support.
