🌏 イベントの概要
スポGOMI（スポーツごみ拾い）は、指定されたエリア内でチームを組んで制限時間内にごみを拾い、その「種類」と「量」に応じてポイントを競い合う“地球に最も優しいスポーツ”です。今回の宇和島ステージでは、街なかに潜むごみを楽しみながら一掃することを目的に開催されました。
🌊 開催の目的
海洋ごみの8割が「街中から流れ出たごみ」と言われています。街→川→海へとつながる流れを断ち切るためにも、地域住民が一体となって街ごみを回収することが重要です。
💡 イベントの様子
当日は親子連れや学生、高齢者など幅広い世代が参加し、3人1組のチームで競技に挑みました。ごみの種類ごとにポイントが異なるルールのもと、各チームは戦略を立てながらエリアを巡回。街の清掃と同時に、スポーツとしての達成感も味わえるイベントとなりました。
🏆 感想と成果
参加者からは「街が思ったよりきれいだったのが逆に困った」という声もあり、地域の美化活動の成果が見て取れました。優勝は幼児と保護者のチームで、笑顔あふれる表彰式となりました。

🌏 What is SpoGOMI?
SpoGOMI is a competitive trash pickup event where teams collect garbage within a designated area and earn points based on the type and amount of waste collected. It’s often referred to as “the most eco-friendly sport on Earth.”
🌊 Purpose of the Event
It is said that 80% of marine litter originates from cities. By picking up trash from the streets before it reaches rivers and oceans, participants help prevent marine pollution from the ground up.
💡 On the Day
Participants from all generations—families, students, and seniors—joined in, forming teams of three. They developed strategies based on the point system and covered the town while picking up garbage. It was an engaging event that combined environmental action and sportsmanship.
🏆 Results & Reflections
One participant humorously noted, “There wasn’t much trash, which made it hard to compete!” This remark actually highlighted how clean the town has become. The winning team was a parent-child group, marking the day with heartwarming smiles and applause.
